This Chinese New Year is the Year of the Horse (which happens to be one of my favourite animals) so to celebrate I've collated a few Scilly links concerning all things horsey!
With it's privileged position, atop the Garrison on St Mary's, White Horses boasts sea and island views and an attractive terraced area for al fresco dining. For more information, see www.sibleysonscilly.co.uk
Seahorse, one of the Sea Garden self-catering cottages on Tresco boasts a wood-burning stove, master bedroom ensuite, barbeque, balcony and sea views. See more at www.tresco.co.uk/accommodation

Have a wander through the Higher and Lower Moors Nature trails and besides spotting birds and natural flora and fauna, you may see some Dartmoor ponies grazing the area to help with land management. www.ios-wildlifetrust.org.uk

Things to See -
Oriel's Hick's beautiful stained windows are found all over the islands - follow the link to see her carousel horses and many more beautiful designs - www.phoenixstainedglass.co.uk/commissions/carousel.html
Horse Point - walk to the most southerly tip of St Agnes and look in awe at the fiercesome, jagged rocks. While you're there look for the Nag's Head, an ancient standing stone in the shape of a horse's head on Wingletang Down.
